Artist's Bio
Meg appeared with ReAct in the role
of An-mei Hsu in The Joy Luck Club. This actor has
appeared in dozens of productions with Seattle Group Theatre,
Northwest Asian American Theatre, Civic Light Opera, The GAP
Theatre Company and several theatre companies in the Bay Area,
including Peninsula Civic Light Opera, Diablo Light Opera
Company, Contra Costa Musical Theatre and Theatre Concord.
Among her favorite roles are Kristine in
A Chorus Line, Velma Kelley in Chicago, Judy
in The Wash and June in Fifth of July. Other
acting credits include Voices of Christmas, Who
Killed the Dragon Lady, Twinkle, Evita,
42nd Street, Anything Goes, West Side Story,
Cabaret, Company, Two Gentlemen of Verona
and My One and Only. She has also performed as a vocalist
with Seattle jazz pianist and recording artist Deems Tsutakawa.
She has worked extensively doing on-camera,
voice-over and print work since the mid-80s. She was the co-host
for the monthly video programs for both Pacific Bell and U.S.
West. She also recently received a 2001 Telly Award and an
Emerald City Award for her work as the host of the award-winning
video, Handling Emergency Calls for Special Needs Populations,
produced by the State of Washington Department of Information
Services. She has studied dance with Stan Kahn, Richard Jessup
and Kate Leland, voice with Karen Oleson and Hildegard Shadbolt,
commercial acting with Ed Hooks and Christine Havens, and
voice over with Veronica Weikel.
Meg is the founder of the Northwest ARDS Support Network, an organization that
provides outreach and support to patients, family members and survivors of Acute
Respiratory Distress Syndrome, of which Meg is a survivor herself. She has
shared her inspirational story as a speaker at various conferences and, in 2003,
co-chaired the 2nd Annual Conference for ARDS Survivors, Families and
Caregivers, which took place at the Washington Convention and Trade Center. Meg is a trainer with Ramco Software
Training, where she specializes in the Microsoft Office Suite of programs. She also volunteers at her children's schools, teaches
an online class for Green River Community College and dabbles in web design.
