Artist's Bio
ReAct was the first theatre company
to hire Rebecca when she motored into Seattle in a U-Haul
truck over three years ago, and will always have a place in
her heart. Since then, some favorite local credits include:
Lulu in Giants Have Us in Their Books, Nineholes
'99 and Kracken--Episode 1 at Theatre Babylon,
Pauline in A Kind of Alaska, and, of course, her appearance
at the 1999 Fringe Festival as Fluffy the Dead Cat in Slippery
Fish's If I Wake Before I Die. Most recently, she has
focused on writing, producing, and performing for The Artists
Formerly Known as Soapbox, an amazing ensemble of performers
who use current events and personal obsessions as a springboard
for the best darn sketch comedy and improv she's ever seen.
Before moving to Seattle, proud accomplishments
included a directing internship with The New Jersey Shakespeare
Festival, several tours with Prairie Fire Children's Theatre
and National Theater for Children, and roles in Uncommon
Women and Others, Talking With, MacBeth,
Much Ado About Nothing, and Goodnight, Desdemona
(Good Morning, Juliet).
Rebecca loves Shakespeare, Greek Choruses, unusual adaptations
of classics, multimedia collaborations and anything with a
really strong ensemble. She's also a sucker for a good melodrama
and has a secret desire to work on a soap opera. She has a
BA in Theatre Arts from the University of Minnesota.
