Artist's Bio
ShawnJ (pronounced Sean Jay) hails from St. Louis, MO where his creative
mind got him interested in acting at an early age. Directing playmates in the
art of playing dead was his first clue into the future.
SJ, as he's affectionately called by friends, spent 10 years in Sacramento, CA
after leaving the Air Force before migrating north to Seattle.
His gallery of work has included some of his most favorite roles. One being that
of the serial rapist Raul in Extremities where he says it was exilarating to
get to explore the darker side of himself; and it's wicked!
SJ is currently trying to finish writing his first play, The Sweetest Days as
he has begun outlining his second play, DIVAS.
Outside of theatre SJ works in the field of Social Justice bringing awareness to
the various forms of oppression.
When not acting, working or writing you can find him spoiling his little diva in
training Bella; a Smooth Fox Terrier too often mistaken for a Jack Russell.
