Theatre Off Jackson, June 9 - July 2, 2006: ReAct Theatre, Seattle's only Multi-ethnic Philanthropic Theatre Company continues its 2006 season with the Seattle premiere of THE LAST SUNDAY IN JUNE, the recent Off-Broadway gay hit by Jonathan Tolins, author of Twilight of the Golds and other works, who was also one of the original producers of the American version of the popular Showtime series, Queer As Folk.

At a time of celebration, expect the unexpected. With the Pride parade happening on the streets below their apartment, we follow the struggles of Tom and Michael as they contemplate their move to the suburbs. As friends drop by, a chain of events ignites that rocks the foundations of their relationship. This controversial new play by Jonathan Tolins is a smart, funny and provocative exploration of gay life today and features ReAct's diverse multi-ethnic casting.

THE LAST SUNDAY IN JUNE opens on Friday June 9th at 8:00pm and plays Thursday nights at 7:30pm, Friday and Saturday nights at 8pm, and Sundays afternoons at 4:00pm through July 2nd. All performances will be held at air-conditioned and wheelchair accessible Theatre Off Jackson, located at 409 7th Avenue S, at the corner of 7th and Jackson in Seattle's International District. Parking is available throughout the neighborhood or in Interim Parking lot under the Interstate 5 overpass at Jackson near 8th for a nominal fee.

Ticket prices are $15 General Admission; $12 Students/Seniors/Military/Disabled; and $9 for Children, although this play is not recommended for kids. Tickets purchased in advance are discounted $3 each, and $6 Theatre Artist day of show rush tickets are available at the door on a space available basis. Additionally, ReAct's first 4:00pm Sunday Matinee on June 11th, and first 7:30pm Thursday Night Performance on June 15th are "Pay-What-You-Can" performances. For more information and ticket reservations, please call the ReAct box office at (206) 364-3283 or visit online at www.reacttheatre.org. Stage Management by Tim Crist, with sound designed by Andrew Chin and lighting by Patti West.

Established in 1993, ReAct strives to provide affordable quality entertainment using primarily non-traditional and multi-ethnic casting. Its purpose is to give artists of all backgrounds the opportunity to work on mainstream projects they might not normally have access to due to ethnicity, gender, or experience. A federally recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit philanthropic company, ReAct also works to service our community by using its productions to raise money, awareness and supplies for other arts and humanitarian organizations. This production will benefit several Gay and AIDS Support Charities, as well as Theatre Puget Sound, and a canned food drive will benefit Northwest Harvest. ReAct is the theatre which recently had its south Seattle storage facility broken into and ransacked earlier this year. Most recently, the company opened the Prima Vera Arts Center, a new rehearal and meeting space located near the Seattle Center.
